The initial swelling goes down within a few hours after the treatment. Any redness will subside within the next day. Healing takes between 5-7 days before you can wear your makeup. Your procedure is fully healed  4-6 weeks later and then you can have your top up.

The discomfort during the procedure will vary from person to person. We all have different pain thresholds. To make the process as pleasant as it can be, we apply a topical anaesthetic cream to minimise any discomfort.

After filling out all the paperwork we will draw a template of your lips. Once you approve the lip shape, we will proceed with the pigmentation treatment. • Expect some mild redness and mild swelling, this will subside within a couple of hours
• The pigment will look darker and more red right after the procedure but will lighten and soften when healed.
• Do not pick, peel or scratch your lips.
• Avoid swimming pools, steam rooms, and tanning for at least two weeks.
• Avoid sweating and heavy workout sessions for one week.
• Treat the pigmented area very gently.

 

How should you prepare for your lip blush appointment?

• Let us know if you ever get cold sores.
• Avoid oily creams and oils before treatment – use light moisturisers.
• Do not drink alcohol for 2-3 days before. Do not take anti inflammatory medications, and blood thinners for two days, and for at least 24 hours before treatment stop drinking caffeine.
• For 4 weeks before treatment do not get lip filler.
• If planning a holiday in a hot or sunny country, schedule your appointment at least one month before or two weeks after your trip.
