How to get ready for your lash appointment

What do you need to avoid?

Don’t perm or LVL your lashes for a month before your lash extension appointment.

On the day of your appointment do not drink coffee and energy drinks.

Do I have to remove my old extensions before my appointment at Beauty Bar?

Lashes from other salons need to be removed. We do not infill extensions that were applied by other technicians for various reasons including insurance. Not all technicians don’t have the same skill level and the quality of work.

How to prepare for your lash appointment?

• Remove all your eye makeup and arrive to your appointment makeup free.
• Remove contact lenses and bring your glasses with you. You shouldn’t wear contacts for 24 hours.
• Bath and wash hair before your appointment, you can’t get your lashes wet for 24 hours after the application.
• For 24 hours after appointment you shouldn’t wear makeup, visit sauna, swimming pool, or get a spray tan so plan your appointment accordingly. Lashes need 24 hours to set, and shouldn’t be exposed to adverse temperatures.

Can I bring my child with me to my lash appointment?

Due to the nature of the products and equipment used, children and pets are not permitted on the premises and if you arrive with a minor we will need to cancel your appointment.

What if my lashes get wet?

After the initial 24 hours it is ok to get your lashes wet. Eyelash extensions must be washed with a lash foaming wash/shampoo, and not with just water. Water alone doesn’t remove grease, sebum, bacteria, and debris buildup, and may lead to bacterial infections and poor eyelash retention.

How long before a holiday or an event shall I get my lash extensions?

If you plan a holiday or an event please remember to let your lashes set properly for 24 hours before any plane flights, application of makeup etc.
