How to look after your permanent eyeliner

You may experience swelling, pigment will look darker and more intense. Over the next weeks, the pigment will start fading by 20%-50%. This is a completely natural process. Any necessary corrections will be done during the second, control appointment.

Wash your new eyeliner for 5 days and apply an aftercare cream 3 times a day.

Protect the treated area from getting tan for up to one month after your treatment.

 

Touch up appointment

A touch up should be done 4-6 weeks after the initial procedure to perfect the details and reinforce the colour. Not everyone will need a touch up but we recommend to book this just in case.

 

Permanent eyeliner fading process

Fading depends on different factors. How often you tan, your metabolism, health and medication. To refresh your eyeliner you can book a colour boost treatment, thi can be done once a year or every two years.

 

Which eyeliner style best suits your eyes?

Small eyes and hooded eyelids – smaller eyes especially if they don’t have much space on the upper eyelid are best for styles like eyelash enhancement or fine eyeliner. Any other style will not show and will be hiding under the eyelid.

Deep set eyes – deep set eyes also look better with finer eyeliners as anything larger and thicker will emphasize and make the eyes look even deeper.

Blonde and fair eyelashes – people with lighter eyelashes will look best in lash enhancement eyeliner, without looking fake or overdone. This will give some definition and minimise that bare eyes look.

Close together and far apart eyes – eyes that are close together look nicer with a little flick on the outer corner to optically move them apart, and eyes that are close together will benefit from the 3/4 eyeliner or a line that skips a few lashes in the inner corner, and starts slightly further away from the inner corner.

You will be able to wear makeup after 5 days, but the whole, invisible healing period takes between 4-6 weeks. That’s why we can’t touch up the eyeliner sooner than that.

On average between 2-5 years but you can expect it to last longer since the eyelid doesn’t have many oil glands, and the skin there is very thin.
