What is semi permanent eyeliner tattoo Cambridge
Semi permanent eyeliner is a cosmetic tattoo that is used to implant the pigment in the skin. It is also called micro pigmentation, permanent makeup or makeup tattoo.
Permanent eyeliner is a semi permanent makeup procedure where pigment is tattooed in the upper or lower eyelid to get a defined, long lasting eyeliner look.
At Beauty Bar we offer a range of different styles of permanent eyeliner that suit various eye shapes and client’s preferences.
- Eyelash enhancement is a very fine line between the eyelashes that gives the most natural, and subtle eye enhancement.
- Fine eyeliner is a fine line along the lashes for a very natural, subtle enhancement.
- Medium permanent eyeliner is ideal is you want a bolder, more defined look.
- Latino winged eyeliner. This is a more dramatic option with a wing finish to create a lifted, more daring look.
- Shaded or Smoky Eyeliner. This eyeliner adds depth and a soft, smoky effect.
What should you know about semi permanent eyeliner Cambridge
Different permanent eyeliner types and styles
Eyelash enhancement eyeliner gives a very natural look. Pigment is implanted between the lashes for a subtle and fuller looking lash line. This is great for anyone looking for a natural enhancement without bolder looking makeup. It works well for people with small or hooded eyes, blondes, and redheads, who want a bit of definition.
Fine and medium permanent eyeliner can delicately enhance your top eyelid, giving you defined but natural look. If you want a bit more definition, medium eyeliner gives a thicker line and can create more bolder effect compared to fine eyeliner.
Every eyeliner style can be customised, for a sharp line or a softer, smudged look.
Bottom permanent eyeliner can complete your look. It enhances lower lash line and creates more defined eye shape. This soft, natural enhancement blends with the rest of your eye makeup.
Winged latino eyeliner is a classic choice. Permanent eyeliner with a flick is great for people who love a bolder eye look. This style gives winged shape that extends beyond the lash line. It adds an elegant, eye lifting effect that stays put all day long. Winged eyeliner can be tailored to suit your eye shape, with options for subtle flicks or more dramatic wings, depending on your preference.
Winged eyeliner works well for eye shapes and eyelids with enough space to create it. People with hooded eyelids are better candidates for lash enhancement or finer eyeliner.
Soft shaded semi permanent eyeliner gives a beautiful gradient or a soft, blurry look, without harsh and crisp lines. This creates a soft, blended effect of a smoky eye. We recommend a subtle hint of shadow for that soft and classy look.
The smoky shaded eyeliner is perfect for anyone looking for a softer, more dimensional enhancement. It’s a great choice for both daytime and evening wear, as it can be easily layered with other makeup or worn alone. This style suits most eye shapes and it looks really flattering adding a touch of depth without looking overly done.
What you need to know before your appointment?
- Look after your skin before getting semi permanent eyeliner. If your skin is sensitive, moisturise it well.
- Do not tint your eyelashes, get lvl treatments for about a month, and remove lash extensions 2 weeks before treatment.
- Do not apply any skincare containing vit C, Retinols, scrubs, AHA and BHA acids as they can irritate your skin.
- Choose a time for your appointment when you don’t have any important events – you won’t be able to wear makeup for around a week. Let your eyeliner heal properly to avoid any potential infections.
- 48 hours before your appointment, do not take aspirin and ibuprofen – they increase the risk of bruising and bleeding during the treatment.
- Avoid alcohol for 2-3 days before your appointment. Alcohol is a blood thinner and can cause more bleeding and bruising.
- During your consultation, we will give you printed, detailed instructions to follow before and after your appointment. When booking your consultation, you will receive an email with all the necessary information (questions to disclose any contraindications, conditions or medications, please make sure you answer everything truthfully, to avoid complications).
What is the recovery time for permanent eyeliner.
- After your treatment, some swelling and redness can be expected but this will subside quite quickly. Initial healing takes about 5-7 days, after you can start applying your eye makeup.
- Cleanse your eyeliner with sterile water or saline solution, then apply a recommended healing cream.
- Complete healing process takes 4 to 6 weeks, during this time pigment fully settles. We cannot do the touch up before this time to avoid scarring.
- Several factors may influence the healing process. This includes your health, immune system, and lifestyle. For example people who smoke, and those with certain health conditions may experience slower recovery.
- Do not tan, use SPF around your eyes to protect the skin. Avoid swimming and steam rooms during the healing period.
How long does semi permanent eyeliner tattoo last?
It usually lasts between 2 to 5 years. Lifestyle and tanning can make a difference in how long it lasts and how it looks. With proper after care, your eyeliner will look vibrant and last longer.
Is permanent eyeliner tattoo painful?
Discomfort can vary for each person, as everyone has a unique pain tolerance. Some clients describe the sensation as unusual feeling rather than pain. People often describe the experience as ticklish or surprisingly painless. To help keep you comfortable, we apply a topical numbing cream. This helps to keep clients relaxed and they adjust quickly.
