How do I prepare for my hair stroke eyebrows?

• For 2-3 days before your appointment avoid alcohol and blood thinners, on the day don’t drink coffee.
• Don’t tan.
• Do not wax your eyebrows and avoid facial treatments for a week prior.

What can I expect during my treatment?

The treatment takes around 2.5 hours. First, we draw the new shape of your brows with a pencil. When you agree to the shape, we apply a topical anaesthetic cream. Then we use a permanent makeup machine to tattoo hair like strokes with pigment. When we finish, we will take pictures and apply an aftercare cream, and give you printed out aftercare instructions.

 

What can I expect after my appointment?

Your eyebrows will look darker and more defined for a few days.

Skin may look red around the brows. Pigment may look a little bit warmer than what you expected, but it gets cooler as it stabilises. Final result is visible after 4 to 6 weeks. After the initial appointment you should schedule a follow up (top up) session 4 to 6 weeks later to perfect the brows.

Keep your brows clean, wash them 3 times a day and avoid touching them.

Do not exercise, avoid sweating, swimming, and tanning for at least 2 weeks.

After you washed them, apply recommended aftercare cream.

I have an old eyebrow tattoo, can I book for hair strokes?

This is one of the reasons why we only do face to face consultations. We will check your existing eyebrow tattoo or microblading, if the previous work doesn’t look nice, if it is not the right colour or the wrong shape, we may suggest that you have it removed before booking your appointment. Our motto is, if we cannot improve it, we will not take on the work. And unfortunately, not all previous work can be corrected, and sometimes it needs to be removed.

 

What are the risks of hair stroke eyebrows?

As with any treatments, where skin is broken, risks may include infections, allergic reactions, or pigment migration. It is important to disclose all health conditions and medication, and to follow the aftercare properly to minimise any risks. We sometimes refuse the treatment if we think that the risks can outweigh the benefits, but this is only to keep our clients safe and to avoid complications.
