RF microneedling Buntingford

If your skin feels less firm than it used to, fine lines are becoming more noticeable, or you’re seeing changes in texture, pores, scarring or skin laxity, RF microneedling can help improve the overall quality and firmness of the skin.

RF microneedling, also called radiofrequency microneedling, combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy. Tiny needles create controlled channels in the skin while radiofrequency energy delivers heat at a deeper level. This stimulates the skin’s natural healing response and encourages collagen and elastin production.

The result is gradual improvement in skin firmness, texture, tone and skin quality, rather than a change to your facial features.

How RF microneedling works

RF microneedling uses a specialised device and disposable cartridges with very fine needles that penetrate the skin to a controlled depth. Radiofrequency energy is then delivered through the needles, creating heat within the treated tissue.

The depth and energy level can be adjusted depending on the area being treated, your type and thickness of skin, and what we’re trying to improve.

Because collagen production takes time, RF microneedling isn’t a treatment where you see the full result immediately. Skin gradually becomes firmer and smoother as new collagen develops.

Why choose RF microneedling at Beauty Bar?

I don’t use exactly the same settings for everyone.

Before treatment, I look at your skin, the area being treated and what you actually want to improve. The needle depth and radiofrequency settings can then be adjusted accordingly.

The aim isn’t to treat as aggressively as possible. Controlled treatment and gradual improvement are more important than simply using higher settings.

I’ll also explain what RF microneedling can realistically achieve for your skin and whether I think it’s the right treatment for you.

Your skin is likely to be red and warm immediately afterwards and may feel similar to mild sunburn. In rare occasions you may also have some swelling or sensitivity.

The visible redness usually settles over the following day or several days, depending on how your skin responds.
