Immediately after the permanent eye makeup treatment eyes may be slightly swollen and irritated. This is natural as the skin around the eyes is very delicate. Swelling usually subsides the same day or a day after.

About 3 days after your treatment, skin in the pigmented area may start to flake off gently. Straight after your treatment pigment will look more intense, darker , but as the skin starts peeling off and heal, the pigment will begin to look more natural and softer. When your new eyeliner heals properly in 4-6 weeks, we will see you again for a top up appointment to perfect your treatment.

 

How to look after your skin after the permanent eyeliner procedure?

Always follow advice given to you after your appointment. Eyeliner heals quite quick, you must wash it daily, around 3 times a day, and after you’ve washed it, just apply a healing cream using a cotton bud. Proper cleansing is extremely important.

Avoid wearing any make up on your eyes for at least a week.

Do not scratch, rub or pick your new enhancement. Use proper SPF filter when going outside on a sunny day. Avoid swimming pools or saunas for at least two weeks after your treatment. Do not tan during the healing period.

 

How long does permanent eyeliner tattoo take to heal

The full healing cycle after permanent eyeliner takes around 4-6 weeks.

After that time you can have your top up procedure. You will be able to wear makeup after 5-7 days.
