What is Injectable Fat Dissolving?

Fat dissolving, also known as injectable lipolysis, is an effective procedure designed to reduce localised fat deposits in targeted areas such as the chin, jawline, abdomen, back, thighs, and knees. The treatment works by injecting phosphatidylcholine or sodium deoxycholate into the fat tissue, which breaks down the fat cells’ membranes, ultimately reducing fat in the selected areas.

Areas You Can Target with Fat Dissolving

  • Double chin
  • Stomach and love handles
  • Inner and back of thighs
  • Fat under the buttocks (banana rolls)
  • Upper arms
  • Chubby knees

Who is the Ideal Candidate for Fat Dissolving?

Fat dissolving treatments are best suited for people who are of normal weight or slightly overweight but have stubborn fat deposits that don’t respond well to diet or exercise. This treatment is not intended as a solution for weight loss or severe obesity.

For people with loose skin after significant weight loss, we recommend alternative treatments such as skin boosters or mesotherapy to improve skin firmness.

What to Expect During Your Fat Dissolving Appointment

Your session will begin with a short consultation where you’ll fill out forms regarding your medical history and any medications you are taking to rule out contraindications.

The procedure itself is straightforward and painless. A fine needle is used to inject small amounts of product into the designated areas after the skin is disinfected. You may experience mild swelling, redness, or a tingling sensation, which subsides in a few days.

Fat Dissolving Aftercare and Tips for Best Results

After your treatment, you can return to your regular activities, including work. Some clients see noticeable results after a single session, while others may require 2-3 treatments depending on the amount of fat to be dissolved and personal expectations.

To maximise results, we recommend drinking plenty of water, avoiding alcohol, eating a healthy diet, and engaging in light exercise. Gently massaging the treated area for a few minutes each day can further improve the results.

How often and how many sessions of fat dissolving do I need?

Depending on your goals, fat-dissolving treatments can be repeated between 2 to 6 times, with a minimum interval of 4 weeks between each session. Visible results typically start showing around 4 weeks after the initial treatment.

After the first session, you may be invited for a follow-up consultation to assess results and develop a plan for future treatments. Occasionally, a different product may be recommended based on your progress and expectations.

On the chin area we use only one vial of product. Up to two vials can be used to treat larger areas more effectively.

fat dissolving cincelar hertfordshire

What could affect your results?

The success of the fat-dissolving treatment depends on the area being treated, the person’s following the aftercare instructions, and their overall health. Clients who follow the recommended aftercare, including proper hydration and light exercise, typically see better results than those who do not.

Who should avoid fat dissolving?

What Shall I Do Before Receiving My Medical Micro-pigmentation Treatment?

Cosmetic Tattooing

How to Prepare for Your Medical Micro-pigmentation Treatment

Medical micro-pigmentation, or medical tattooing involves implanting pigment in the skin to blend in different skin colours into one.

Skin tone colour matching is carried out prior to the treatment.

A sensitivity patch test must be performed prior to the medical micro-pigmentation procedure.

areola scar treatment hertfordshire

Pre-treatment Checklist for Medical Tattooing

1. Skin Tone Matching: Avoid tanning before the skin tone matching process and throughout the treatment plan to ensure accurate results.

2. Patch Test: A sensitivity patch test is required before the procedure to ensure you’re not allergic to the pigments.

3. Multiple Sessions: You may need multiple sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart. This allows the skin to heal fully between treatments.

4. Initial Colour Intensity: The colour may appear more intense and darker immediately after the treatment. This will soften as the skin heals over the next few days.

5. Swelling and Redness: Swelling, redness, and occasionally bruising may occur after each session. You might want to avoid social events immediately afterward.

6. Medications: Avoid aspirin or anti-inflammatory medications like ibuprofen two days before treatment. However, do not stop taking any prescribed medications without consulting your doctor.

7. Alcohol: Do not drink alcohol for at least two days before and after your session, as it can thin the blood and increase the risk of bruising.

8. Aftercare: Follow the aftercare instructions carefully to avoid infections. Keeping the treated area clean is crucial for proper healing.

Skin Cosmetic Products:

Do not use Retin-A or retinol products near the treatment area for six weeks prior.

Avoid AHA products for four weeks before treatment.

Refrain from professional chemical peels near the treatment area for four weeks prior.

Blood Donation

You will not be eligible to donate blood for 12 months after your medical micro-pigmentation procedure.

Specific Guidelines for Cleft Lip Tattooing

If you’re planning a cleft lip tattoo and have a history of cold sores (herpes simplex), it’s recommended to take anti-herpes medication for one week before and after the procedure. This helps prevent a potential outbreak, as the procedure can trigger the dormant virus.

Other Considerations:

Laser Hair Removal: IPL laser hair removal should be completed at least two weeks before your treatment.

Lip Waxing and Bleaching: Avoid lip waxing or bleaching two weeks before and two weeks after your procedure to prevent irritation.

By following these guidelines, you can ensure a smoother treatment process and better results. Always consult us if you have any questions or concerns before the procedure.

  • If the area gets wet, pat it dry with a clean tissue.
  • Keep your hair away from your eyeliner to avoid infection.
  • Itching is normal—do not pick, peel, or rub the area. Let the color naturally flake off.
  • Avoid wearing contact lenses for 24 hours after treatment.
  • Continue using your usual eye cream, but avoid applying it directly over the eyeliner tattoo.
  • Wear sunglasses to protect your eyes from wind and pollution.
  • Avoid beauty treatments around your eyes for 5 days after the procedure.

Important information

In rare cases, you may lose some eyelashes during healing, but they typically grow back within 2-4 months.

Expect your eyeliner color to be more intense and defined for the first week, but it will soften and lighten as it heals.

Healing time is typically 14 days but can take longer if you’re stressed, have a weakened immune system, or maintain a poor diet.

Some unevenness in color is normal—this will be corrected at your top-up visit.

Your PMU lip aftercare for the next 2 weeks

For the first 2 days after your lip liner, lip blush or full lip tint treatments you can use disposable cold pack if necessary to reduce swelling.
Daily Care to follow for 7 days
  • Apply a healing balm regularly using a cotton bud. Wash your hands before applying the product and prevent cross-contamination of the product by not replacing the used bud into the container.
  • We recommend that you use a gentle facial cleanser to freshen your skin during the first week. Do not splash wash your face. Do however clean your enhancement twice daily with damp cotton pads.
  • Apply a layer of Vaseline to your semi-permanent lips when brushing your teeth to prevent it from becoming wet. Remove the Vaseline with damp cotton pads.
  • If your lip tattoo gets wet, gently pat the area dry using a clean tissue.
Some itching is normal. DO NOT PICK, PEEL OR RUB your lips as the colour may heal unevenly and you could risk infection, which in turn could lead to scarring.
  • Allow the colour to flake away by itself.
  • No make-up should be applied close to your lip area for 3 days.
  • Avoid eating spicy and salty foods and drink through a straw for 3 days.
  • No kissing for 5 days to prevent infection
  • Do not receive skincare beauty treatments for 5 days after the application of your lip tattoo.

  • Do not receive bleaching, waxing, electrolysis or laser hair removal treatments close to your lips.
  • Do not use lip plumping products
  • Do not receive lip filler treatments

Important Notes

  • If you suffer from cold sores at present or anytime in the past use an anti-herpes medication for 1 week before and after treatment. If an outbreak does occur it will generally begin on day 3 of the healing process.
  • Remember, your selected colour will be stronger and more sharply defined for 4 – 5 days and will then shed away appearing as if little or no colour is present. Over the next 3 weeks, the colour will blossom into a considerably softer version of the original colour.
  • The approximate healing period is 14 days, however, healing can be prolonged if your immune system is compromised if you are generally stressed and by poor diet.
  • Keep in mind that in many cases, some unevenness of colour is to be expected. This is the purpose of the top-up visit allowing us to fine-tune your lip tattoo.

Daily Care for Semi-Permanent Eyebrows

Daily Care for the First 7 Days:

Apply a thin layer of Bepanthen cream at least 3 times a day using a new, clean cotton bud for each application. Always wash your hands before applying the cream and prevent contamination by using a fresh bud for each brow.

Use a gentle soap to cleanse your face, avoiding splashes of water. Clean your brows with damp cotton pads before reapplying the healing balm.

Apply a thick layer of Vaseline to your brows when showering or washing your hair to protect them from getting wet. Remove it carefully with damp cotton pads afterward. Do not use Vaseline as a moisturiser—only as a water barrier.

If your eyebrows do get wet, gently pat them dry with a clean tissue.

Keep your hair away from your eyebrows to avoid introducing bacteria.

Some itchiness is normal, but resist the urge to pick, peel, or rub the area as this could lead to uneven healing, infection, or even scarring. Allow the pigment to flake off naturally.

For 14 Days:

Avoid any skincare or beauty treatments close to your eyebrows.

Do not apply makeup near your brows for 5 days.

Most semi-permanent makeup procedures require multiple sessions. To ensure the best results, you may need a complimentary touch-up 4 to 6 weeks after your initial treatment.

Right after the procedure, expect the color to look darker and more intense. Don’t worry—this will fade and soften as your skin heals over the next few days. You can return to work or your daily routine the day after the procedure.

General Pre-Treatment Advice:

Swelling or redness may occur in sensitive areas like the eyelids after eyeliner tattooing, so avoid scheduling social plans on the day of your enhancement.

Wear your regular makeup to the appointment, but be ready to have it removed in the treated area.

Do not take aspirin or anti-inflammatory medications like Ibuprofen 2 days before your appointment.

Do not stop taking any prescribed medications without consulting your doctor.

Do not drink alcohol for 2 days before your procedure.

Eyelash Extensions Training in Hertfordshire and Essex

High standards

Eyelash extensions are growing in popularity, but not every technician is well-trained, leading to dissatisfied clients. Complaints range from visible glue on lash extensions, discomfort when wearing them, and worst of all, damage to natural lashes due to improper application.

Unfortunately, due to low regulations in the industry, many training courses don’t offer the high standards needed to produce skilled lash technicians. We often hear from students who took rushed, or half-day courses with minimal hands-on practice, leaving them lacking confidence to apply lashes on clients or even friends.

How to choose the best eyelash extensions glue 640x640 1

How to choose the best eyelash extensions glue?

How to Choose the Best Eyelash Extensions Glue

Glue Speed Based on Your Work Pace

Choosing the right eyelash extensions glue can be tricky, as it depends on factors like weather, humidity, and most importantly, your speed of application.

Glue Speed Based on Your Work Pace
The key factor in choosing the right glue is how quickly you work. If you’re a faster lash technician, you’ll need a quick-drying glue. Look for a glue that bonds in 0.5 to 1 second. However, if you work at a slower pace and need more time to position each extension, opt for a slower bonding glue, which takes around 2 or even 3 seconds to set.

eyelash extension glue

Consider Temperature and Humidity

Your working environment also plays a big role.

In higher humidity (above 50%), lash glue will naturally bond faster. For example, on a rainy day, a glue that usually bonds in 2 seconds could set in 1 to 1.5 seconds! The ideal working conditions for most lash adhesives are a humidity level between 45-55% and a temperature range of 20-22°C.

Also, as temperatures rise, you may need to use a little more glue to get the best results.

hertfordshire lash glue

Important Tips for Handling Lash Glue

Don’t store glue in the fridge once it’s open. The cold temperature and high humidity inside can cause the glue to set prematurely, making it unusable.

Shake the bottle for at least 10-20 seconds before each use to ensure the ingredients are well-mixed.

After using, wipe the nozzle clean to prevent the cap from sticking and permanently sealing the bottle shut.

Refresh your glue drop every 20-30 minutes to maintain its effectiveness.

If you notice a white residue on the lash extensions after application, this is called blooming, which happens when the glue cures too quickly. Fortunately, blooming doesn’t affect the glue’s bonding strength.
